Message from the Program Head

Dear Students,
Anesthesia technology, which undertakes a critical role in healthcare services, is a specialized field that requires a high sense of responsibility, strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills. As the Hasan Kalyoncu University Vocational School Anesthesia Program, we aim to train qualified health professionals in this field who adhere to ethical values, place human health at the center and follow technological developments.
Our program is structured with theoretical and applied courses spread over four semesters. In the first two semesters, students’ scientific foundation is strengthened with basic medical sciences such as Anatomy, Physiology, Infectious Diseases and General Pharmacology, together with supporting courses such as Medical Terminology, Basic Health Knowledge, Personal Development and Occupational Safety. During this period, students develop their basic skills in clinical settings through the Professional Practices and Anesthesia Practices I–II courses.
With the second year, students gain more advanced professional knowledge and experience. Through courses such as Clinical Anesthesia I–II and Resuscitation I–II, they have the opportunity to experience processes such as patient monitoring, anesthesia administration and emergency management in real clinical settings. In addition, thanks to the elective courses offered in this period, such as Anesthetic Pharmacology, Systemic Diseases, Introduction to ECG, Patient and Employee Safety, and Innovation and Technology in Healthcare, students can deepen their knowledge and awareness from different perspectives.
The program’s applied education approach is supported by a 30-working-day summer internship carried out at the end of the first year to consolidate students’ professional experience. Through this internship at relevant health institutions, students strengthen their sense of professional responsibility while actively taking part in patient care processes in clinical settings. To graduate from the program, students must successfully complete all courses, practices and the summer internship in the program and fulfill a total requirement of 120 ECTS credits.
As the Anesthesia Program, we take pride in training health professionals who will step confidently into their profession, act in line with ethical principles, and are open to development and conscious. We will be very happy to see you as part of this strong community.
Respectfully
Lect. Kübra KAYALecturer
